Who we are

Refound is a trading name operated by Alessandro (sole trader), registered in England and Wales. Registered address: Office 415OO, 182-184 High Street North, Area 1/1, East Ham, London, E6 2JA. We are the data controller for any personal data you share with us. Any questions — email [email protected].

What we collect and why

When you submit an audit request, we collect the details you provide in the form — your name, business name, email address, website URL, and a brief description of your business. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the services you've engaged us for. We also retain email correspondence in the normal course of communicating with you.

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes certain technical data (such as IP addresses) for security and delivery purposes as part of running any website on their infrastructure. We do not independently collect or store this data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone for marketing purposes — ever.

Our service providers

To operate this website and respond to enquiries, we use a small number of third-party tools: Cloudflare for website hosting and security, Formspree to process contact form submissions, and Zoho Mail for email. Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards in place for handling data on our behalf. We don't use any other third-party tools that handle your data.

How long we keep your data

If your enquiry doesn't lead to an engagement, we'll delete your details once it's clear the conversation has run its course. For active and former clients, we keep records for as long as we're legally required to — primarily for accounting and tax purposes under HMRC guidelines. If you'd like us to delete your data sooner, just ask.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we process it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we'll get back to you promptly. If you feel we haven't handled your data correctly, you can also raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device by websites you visit. Some are essential for a site to function; others are used for analytics or advertising. UK law requires us to tell you which cookies we use and to get your consent before placing any non-essential ones.

Cookies on this website

We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no tracking of any kind. We haven't installed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or anything similar. The only cookies that may be set are strictly technical ones placed by Cloudflare (our hosting provider, for bot protection) and Formspree (our form handler, to prevent duplicate submissions). Neither contains personally identifiable information and neither requires your consent under UK law.

Why there's no cookie banner

Because we don't set any cookies that require consent, we don't show a consent banner. We think cluttering a website with a banner you're legally obliged to show is one thing — showing one when you don't have to is another. If we ever introduce analytics or non-essential cookies, we'll add a proper consent mechanism before activating them and update this policy.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the ability to submit our contact form.

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Refound website at refound.uk. By using the website, you agree to them. They cover the website only — if you engage Refound for GEO services, those engagements are governed by the Refound Client Agreement, which is provided and agreed before any work begins. If there's any conflict between these terms and the Client Agreement, the Client Agreement takes precedence.

Refound is a trading name of Alessandro (sole trader). Registered address: Office 415OO, 182-184 High Street North, Area 1/1, East Ham, London, E6 2JA.

Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to introduce malicious software, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure, scrape or systematically extract content, or reproduce any part of the website for commercial purposes without our written permission. We reserve the right to restrict access if these terms are breached.

Our services

Refound provides Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) services — helping businesses appear more prominently in AI-generated answers across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and others. Information on this website about services and pricing is for general information only and doesn't constitute a binding offer. All engagements are confirmed through a signed Client Agreement.

AI-generated results are determined by third-party systems entirely outside our control. We apply genuine expertise and rigorous methodology, but we make no warranty of specific citation rates, rankings, or commercial outcomes. This is stated equally clearly in our Client Agreement.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, design, structure, the Refound name and wordmark — belongs to Refound and is protected under UK copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit any of it without our written consent. You're welcome to share links to the site.

Liability

This website is provided in good faith and on an "as available" basis. We make no warranties about its accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Refound is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms at any time — the "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms remain in full effect.
